Larry Gene Mountz passed away on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at the age of 90.
Larry was born on June 19, 1935, in Richland, PA, to the late Roy and Florence Mountz. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1953 and served in the Army in Germany from 1958 to 1960 and in Fort Knox from 1962 to 1963. Larry married Lorraine Mathes in 1964, and his son, Brad, was born in 1965. He worked at Sheridan Furnace and Keener Electric. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horses and motorcycles. He loved watching rodeo events in his later years.
Larry is preceded in death by his son, Brad; wife, Lorraine; and sister, Lucetta Pennypacker nee Mountz.
Larry was a beloved Uncle, Great-Uncle, and Great-Great-Uncle. His warm personality, sense of humor, and quick wit meant he was always ready with a joke, a smile, and a laugh that was contagious. Young and old enjoyed his company, and he will be deeply missed.
Services will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, March 9, at 11:30 a.m.
