Larry L. Grimes, 82, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of Betty J. (Brumbach) Grimes. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15.
Born in Fredericksburg on May 9, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Thelma (Christ) Grimes.
He was a member of Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon. During his working career, he worked for different trailer companies as a welder. He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Green Bay Packers, and Penn State. He liked listening to and playing music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Darryl, husband of Kim Grimes, of Lebanon; daughter, Denise, wife of Ken George, of Allentown; grandchildren, Kasey Ruiz, Aimee, wife of Jesse Reinhart, Michael, husband of Emily George, Andrew George, Samuel, husband of Abby George, and Katherine, wife of Tim Boulet; great-grandsons, Karson, Gavin, and Keegen; brother, Neal, husband of Jean Grimes, of Annville; and sister, Gail Grimes, of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Glenn Grimes.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
