He attended both the Eastern Lebanon County High School and the Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia. At the age of 17, he was in a tragic car accident and became a quadriplegic. His parents cared for him for many years, along with numerous other caregivers throughout the years. Larry was a longtime member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Myerstown and later joined the Elm Street Mennonite Church in Lebanon. The Elm Street Mennonite Church provided a home where he lived for the past eight years: Race Street House in Richland. The church and caregivers provided loving and caring support for Larry up until the time of his death.

Larry’s legacy of loving the Lord and positivity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Through God’s grace, he was inspirational to many people through his testimony entitled, “Choices Have Consequences.” He will be deeply missed by all but never forgotten.
