Larry R. Sholly, 77, of Newmanstown, passed away in his residence on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021. He was the husband of Patricia A. Goshert Sholly, with whom he was married to for 32 years.

Born in Lebanon on June 2, 1943, Larry was the son of the late John Daniel and Mary Steely Sholly. He was employed for 32 years at North American Refractories in Newmanstown and served in the US Army. Larry was a member of the Richland American Legion, Post 880. He enjoyed singing Elvis songs, wood-crafting, refinishing furniture, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagle and Penn State football fan.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son, Grant Richard Sholly, husband of Tiffany, of Wernersville, daughter, Susan Rae Sholly, companion of Scott Miller, of Palmyra, stepdaughter, Christine Marie Anspach, wife of Luke, of Richland, stepson, Chris Allen Boyer, companion of Tracey Bashore, of Myerstown, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Sholly, and sister, Lorraine Spitler.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Clauser Funeral Home, 116 N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown. Please follow CDC guidelines. The funeral service will be held privately. www.clauserfh.com.
