Lavena M. Kulp, 79, of Jonestown, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of the late Ronald E. Kulp.

Born in Derry Township on March 31, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine May Achenbach.

Lavena retired from H. B. Reese Candy Co. She was a member of the New Hope Church in Linglestown. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and doing arts and crafts.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa M. Galanos, of Jonestown, Kathy E., wife of Augustin Gomez, of Clovis, NM, and Debra L. Taylor; sister, Donna McCauley, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Bryon, Joshua, Thomas, Alicia, Morgan, Kevin, and Brandi; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sherks Church Cemetery, Grantville.
