Lela M. Forry, 91, of Pine Grove passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Richland, Pa. on July 13, 1930.

Lela was the daughter of the late Iram and Sadie (Hertzler) Lentz. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond S. Forry, Jr. and a son Kevin D. Forry. Lela graduated from Lebanon High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lebanon Church of the Brethren.

Lela was very active in her church serving as a nursery attendant, a church board member and a Nurture committee member. She was a faithful kitchen helper and Vacation Bible School volunteer. She also helped to prepare meals for the Lebanon County Christian Ministries. In other activities, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lebanon Friendship Fire Company, treasurer of Church Women United, and a volunteer at Londonderry Village and the Red Cross.

She is survived by five children; Beverly Bode (Daniel), Vicki Krise, Cecelia Daubert (David) all of Pine Grove, Keith Forry, of Virginia, and Michele Forry, of Texas, grandchildren: Wyatt Bode, Erin Bode and Eliza Gifford and great-grandchildren: Allison Bode and Benjamin Bomberger.

The funeral service will be held at the Lebanon Church of the Brethren at 11:00 a.m. on December 18. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Kochenderfer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions to Heifer International. Roland Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with arrangements.
