Leon R. Brubaker, 88, of Myerstown, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at StoneRidge Towne Centre in Myerstown. He was the husband of Eleanor A. (Keeney) Brubaker, to whom he would have been married 69 years on Apr. 26, 2021.
Born in Myerstown on Apr. 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Ammon and Earla (Kline) Brubaker. Leon was a member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren and the Williamson Lodge #307 in Womelsdorf. He was a long-time employee at Carlos R. Leffler, Inc., retiring in 1995. Leon enjoyed spending time with his family and going to his cabin in Sullivan county. He also enjoyed woodworking, restoring tractors, and was an auto mechanic.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Brenda, wife of Dennis Rohrer, of Manheim, Linda Gockley, of Denver, Louise, wife of Earl Wenger, of Myerstown, Kim, wife of Gregory Horn, of Lebanon; son, Dale, husband of Karla Brubaker, of Myerstown; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Moore, of Dillsburg, Mildred, wife of Robert Fernback, of Middletown; brother, J. Carl, husband of Leah Brubaker, of Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Glenn and Eugene Brubaker.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
