Leontine G. “Lee” Vavrous, 95, of Annville, died on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Lebanon Valley Home.

She was born on Saturday, November 27, 1926, to the late Ralph W. Gousha and Lillian A. Gousha nee Blouch in Lebanon.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and worked as a telephone operator. Lee was a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion Auxiliary Post #915, the Friends of the Union Canal Tunnel Park, the Lebanon County Historical Society, the Friends of The Log House, The Friends of the Lebanon Community Library, and the Native American Heritage Association.

Surviving are son Richard L. Gehret; grandchildren Christopher and Stacie; great-grandchildren Calvin, Hattie, Miles, Preston; nephews Charles D. Gousha and Ralph W. Gousha III.

She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Vavrous; brother Ralph W. Gousha.

Viewing will be on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
