Lessie J. Walmer, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Myerstown Nursing and Rehab.
Lessie was born in Erin, TN, on Dec. 15, 1945, to the late Diccie Kennedy. She was a preschool teacher at Sonrise Daycare. She attended Lifeway Church. Lessie was an expert in Old Maid, having enjoyed playing this with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies. The most important thing in Lessie’s life was her family.
She is survived by her children, Lisa A. Streley, and her husband, David, of Myerstown, and Michael W. Walmer, of Cornwall; grandchildren, Danielle Yingst, Mikayla Walmer, Logan Streley, and Gavin Walmer; great-grandchildren, Addison Yingst and Cara Yingst; and sister, Darlene Dortch, of Palmyra, TN. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Kennedy.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Lifeway Church, 2230 Lebanon Valley Mall, Lebanon. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The service will start at 6:30 p.m.
