Lester Daniel Bashore Sr., 75, of Myerstown, PA, passed away on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Lester was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Susan Shoemaker.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on June 12, 1950, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Waxwood) Bashore. A 1969 graduate of Tulpehocken High School, he earned his associate’s degree in carpentry from Williamsport Area Community College in 1971. Lester volunteered as a Forrest Fire Warden for District 18. Volunteering with the Bethel Fire Company and their Forest Fire Crew was important to him. He was also a member of the Northwestern Berks Rod and Gun Club and Camp Romar. Lester loved being in the woods. He spent a great deal of time camping, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and building/remodeling projects.

He is survived by his daughters, BethAnn Stuck-Moats, of Myerstown, and Crystal, wife of Corey Leedom, of Myerstown; son, Lester Bashore Jr., of Bethel; grandchildren, Rebecca, William, Charles, Amber, Melanie, and Zachary; sister, Wendy, wife of Robert Lingle, of Strausstown; and nieces, Dorinda and Dana.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 4, at the Little Swatara Church of the Brethren in Rehrersburg at 11 a.m.
