Lester E. Weaver, 74, of Lebanon, PA, died on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Ann E. (Gettel) Weaver, to whom he would have been married 47 years on May 19, 2026.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on Sept. 21, 1951, he was a son of the late Walter and Eleanora (Long) Weaver. Lester (Big E) was a 1969 graduate of ELCO High School. He owned and operated Weaver’s Taxidermy in Lebanon, working in taxidermy for over 40 years. Lester was a member of the Elstonville Sportsmen Club. He was the true definition of an outdoorsman and would drop everything to go on an adventure. When he actually did sit still, he enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles, and NASCAR. Big E was a beloved believer in Sasquatch a.k.a. Big Foot and could not turn down a banana split.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Benjamin, husband of Michelle Weaver, of Cornwall; sisters, Shirley, wife of Donald Groff, of Lititz, Bernice, wife of Randy Schies, of Lebanon, Pam, wife of Tracey Walters, of Shermansdale, Evelyn, wife of Dan LaValley, of Myerstown, and Joyce Weaver, of Lebanon; brothers, Arthur, husband of Amelia Weaver, of Ephrata, Wilbur, husband of Laura Weaver, of Myerstown, and Emerson, husband of Tami Weaver, of Gold Bar, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lester was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Weaver, in 2024; sister, Amelia Gross; and brother, Eugene Weaver.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Myerstown.
