Lester L. “Tim” Cassel III, 60, of Jonestown, passed away at his residence on Friday, April 12, 2024.
Born in Lebanon on July 21, 1963, he was the son of Vivian (Shirk) Knight, of Yantis, TX, and the late Lester L. Cassel Jr.
He was a graduate of the Lebanon-Lancaster IU 13 program. He worked at Quest (Lebanon County Workshop) and later helped with the family business. Tim enjoyed participating in Special Olympics in various sports. He liked watching WWE wrestling, NASCAR, and dirt racing, listening to music, and spending time with the family dogs. His favorite saying was to finish the phrase, “Sunshine makes me … HAPPY.”
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Curtis W., husband of Debra Cassel, of Grantville, Shane V. Cassel, of Fredericksburg, and Glenn V. Knight Jr., husband of Shanna, of Yantis TX; sister, Karen L., wife of Marlin Spangler Jr., of Jonestown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy L. Cassel-Carni.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service, with interment following at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township.
