Lisa Ann Bomgardner, 46, of Newmanstown, passed away on March 9, 2021, at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Michael S. Bomgardner.
Born in Coudersport, PA, on July 19, 1974, she was the daughter of Mary Ann Simpson of Newmanstown and the late Alan Harvey. Lisa graduated from Oswayo Valley High School and received her Associate Degree in Social Work from HACC. She studied online classes with Duquesne University, working toward her Bachelor’s Degree, and proudly made the Dean’s List.
Lisa was a Registered Certified Medical Assistant, working for various places in the medical field. It’s no surprise that her caring nature led her and her husband to be foster parents. Many, including friends of her children, lovingly called her “Mom”. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, hunting, fishing and excelled at crafting. She was a member of Shinglehouse Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Above all, Lisa loved being with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are children, Dylan Alan Bomgardner, of Boston, MA, Eden Grace Bomgardner, of Lititz, PA, siblings, James Quinn (Jennifer) and Heather Winder (Michael), half-siblings, Krista, Felicia, and Sean Quinn, father-in-law, William Bomgardner, paternal grandmother, Beatrice Harvey, aunts, uncles, cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Betty Bomgardner, and maternal grandparents, Frances and Donald Simpson.
