Lloyd P. Rittle, 91, of Fredericksburg, PA, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon. He was the husband of Lillian E. (Moyer) Rittle, to whom he would have been married for 73 years on March 28, 2026.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on Oct. 24, 1934, he was a son of the late Howard C. and Edna C. (Ziegler) Rittle. A 1952 graduate of Lebanon High School, he served in the Navy during the Korean War. Lloyd was a member of St. John’s “Host” Church, Bernville, Ship 91 Navy Club, Fredericksburg American Legion, PA LST Association, US LST Association, Am Vets of Bunker Hill, and the USS Aucilla A.O. 56 Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. Lloyd worked as a machinist at Kercher Machine Shop, Lebanon, for 50 years, retiring in 2004.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Debra, wife of Melvin Unger, of Myerstown; sons, Dale, husband of Karen Rittle, of Fredericksburg, and Dennis, husband of Kathy Rittle, of Fredericksburg; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Yeagley, of Myerstown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cory Rittle; sisters, Grace Butler and Cora Shutter; and brothers, Walter Rittle and Lester Rittle.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Host Cemetery, Bernville.
