Lois E. (Powers) Thompson, 101, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, with family by her side at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

She was born on Monday, Nov. 22, 1920, to the late Maurice D. and Alice R. (Fry) Powers. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert E. Thompson.

Lois enjoyed volunteering her time at the thrift shop at the Londonderry Village as well as playing pinochle and reading in her spare time. More than anything, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Eckert, and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Tabitha Borges and Tamara Silsky; and great-grandchildren, Shelby Silsky, Curtis Silsky, Emily Hinkle, Charlie Hiinkle, Autumn Borges, Camille Borges, and Hope Borges. 

She is predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Palmyra United Zion Church, 1000 E. Oak St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
