Mrs. Lois E. Mayer, 88, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at Lebanon Valley Home.

She was born on February 22, 1933, to the late Albert Bullock and Mabel Bullock nee Legg in Philadelphia, PA. All through school, Lois was a straight A student even leading into her college studies at the Philadelphia Bible Institute. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church where she worked as a secretary and organist for over 25 years alongside her husband who was the Pastor. She was also the English and Art teacher when the Lebanon Christian Academy began.

Lois enjoyed taking care of everyone around her, playing the piano and going on beach vacations with her grandchildren. She was known for her most contagious smile. She was a missionary host for many years. In her free time you could find her doing various forms of art. She expressed herself through painting.

She is survived by her children; Julie Ann Koons and spouse Kevin, Michael James Mayer and spouse Cindy and Dianne Lillian Brady Buchmoyer. Grandchildren; Nathan, Brian, and Adam Koons, Michael James Mayer, Jr.,  Kristel Rynard, Melissa Leeper, seven great grandchildren, and sister, Dorothy Bullock Alexander and spouse George. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dr. Robert  Mayer.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be private per family request. Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Christian Academy, 875 Academy Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046.
