Lorenzo “Papi” Perez-Ortiz, 76, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at home, surrounded by his granddaughter, Iris, and those who loved him. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on May 14, 1949, Lorenzo was a son of the late Peto Perez and Meta Ortiz Perez.

Lorenzo was known as “Papi” to all. He was a gentleman and was a grandfather to so many. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, taking them to the park, and buying them ice cream. He loved his Bustelo Cafe and going out to eat. He spent time in his garden with his grandbabies. If you didn’t know what it was to experience the love of a grandfather, you would live that experience with him. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Oscar Perez, Iris Zaida Perez, Lorenzo Perez, and Leonardo “Lilo” Perez; granddaughters, Iris Perez, Justina Perez, and Tanya Catarine; grandsons, Oscar Perez, Elijah Perez, and Edwin Gonzalez; great-granddaughters, Ariana “Moosey” Perez, Tashiony Gonzalez, and Leighanna Ortiz; and great-grandsons, Justin Duff, Adonis Perez, and Jowin Gonzalez.

Viewing hours will be on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be held privately by the family.
