Lori A. Hurst, 44, of Myerstown, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.
She was born on April 22, 1980, to Mary Jane and the late Daniel H. Hurst. She was a member of Myerstown Mennonite Church.
Lori had a heart for others and her gift of service became evident at an early age. Throughout her adult life, she served as a teacher at several private Christian schools in Pennsylvania and one in Wisconsin. She was also a blessing to many as a nursing assistant in various areas of healthcare, most recently at the Race Street Home, Richland, PA.
Lori enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, antiquing with her sisters, and spending time with family and friends. Her nieces and nephews have many fond memories of the activities she planned for them.
Lori’s servant’s heart had a profound impact on many lives, both young and old. The way she chose to live her life reflected Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:19-21.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her siblings, Jeff (Jan) Hurst, of Rome, Dan (Sarah) Hurst, of Lititz, Lisa Hurst, of Myerstown, Dawn (Larry) Stauffer, of Bethel, Amanda (Leon) Horst, of Mount Aetna, Angie (Daniel) Snader, of Myerstown, and Joey (Michelle) Hurst, of Bethel; 18 nieces and nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father; and niece, Jiana Hurst.
There will be a viewing from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at the Fairview Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, PA 17042.
