Lorraine C. (Blum) Pankratz, 69, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Dec. 22, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ronald E. Pankratz.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1952, to the late Donald and Lois (Schweighofer) Blum.
Lorraine was a graduate of the Scranton State General Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center for 35 years.Â
She attended the Hershey Free Church and worked with pioneer girls, bible quizzing, and in the nursery. She lived her life according to the teachings of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She loved spending time with her family, friends, and co-workers. She was always thinking of others. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Corrie Mitchell; son, Haley Pankratz; five grandchildren; sisters, Larita Smargiassi and Donna Decker; and brother, Walter Blum.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hershey Free Church, 330 Hilltop Rd., Hummelstown, PA 17036. A time of visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the start of the service. A private burial will be held at Broadview Cemetery, Hershey.
