Outside the classroom, Louise enjoyed a life filled with simple joys and meaningful friendships. She loved cooking and trying new recipes, reading any book she could get her hands on, gardening, and traveling. She was a devoted member of Grace United Church of Christ, Richland, and treasured the many friendships she formed there over the years. Louise especially looked forward to the family Zoom meetings and the many luncheons with her close-knit group of friends affectionately known as “The Pinks,” whose companionship brought her great happiness and laughter.
Louise cherished her family and friends deeply and maintained close relationships with her cousins throughout her life. She is survived by her cousins, Barbara Gazaway, and her husband, Hal, of Anchorage, AK, Nancy Rhodunda, of Coronado, CA, Jean Peiffer, and her husband, David, of Taylor, MI, Joan Haag, widow of David, of Myerstown, PA, and Linda Witter, widow of John, of Robesonia, PA.
