Louise Stroman nee Bates, 91, passed away peacefully at the Cedar Haven Healthcare Center in Lebanon on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023.
She was born on Sunday, April 9, 1933, to the late Timothy Bates and Carrie Bates nee Neely in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Louise enjoyed cooking and loved taking care of her family by making them delicious meals as often as she could. She also enjoyed playing card games and bingo with her friends.
Louise is survived by her son, Lloyd Stroman; her grandchildren, Jahre A. Stroman, Janasia Williams-Stroman, Shawn A. Stroman, Shanette N. Stroman-Davis, Roshel Johnson, and Melisa Layfield; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her son, Michael Stroman; and her siblings, Phillip Bates, Hamilton Bates, Julia Williams, Timothy R. Bates, Rosalee Bates, and Andrew Bates.
Viewing will be held at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., Lebanon, on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Louise’s memory to the St. John A.M.E Church, 1244 Walnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
