Luther H. Garrett, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at his home. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Heller) Garrett. On Oct. 10, they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

Born in Lebanon on March 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Herman and Emma B. (Sattazahn) Garrett. Following high school, Luther was drafted into the U.S. Army. After his time serving in the Army, he worked and retired from Cleaver Brooks, where he worked as a boiler inspector. For over 27 years, he served in the PA Air National Guard 193rd Special Operations Wing and retired as an MSgt. He enjoyed working with his hands, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bryan L., husband of Judith Garrett, of Jonestown, Susan E. Garrett, of Enola, and Duane E., husband of Shannon Garrett, of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter-in-law, Gayle Garrett, of Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Mary Ann Garrett, of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas M. Garrett; and sister, Donna (Garrett) Seiple.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township.
