Lynette A. Dove, 70, of Bethel, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the widow of Richard Allen Dove, who passed away on March 8, 2024. They were married on July 12, 1975, and celebrated almost 49 years of marriage.

Born in Lebanon on Oct. 14, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Bernice M. (Achey) Smith and Warren H. Gerhart.

Lynette was a graduate of ELCO High School and was employed by GAF in Myerstown for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Bethel Union Fire Company and enjoyed gardening and reading her Amish novels. She especially loved camping at Pinch Pond for over 40 years and riding motorcycle with her husband.

Lynette is survived by her daughters, Melissa Dove Discuillo and Crystal Dove; grandchildren, Michael and Rylan Discuillo, and William and Dylan Richard Bretz; cat, Sammy; many nieces and nephews; and her brothers, George W. Gerhart and Steven W. Gerhart.

A viewing with family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, all to be held in the Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., P.O. Box 265, Myerstown, PA 17067. Interment private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grose Funeral Home, Inc. to defray funeral expenses at the above-stated address.
