Mabel E. Rudy, 95, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Myerstown Nursing & Rehab.
Born in Bethel on Dec. 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Laura (Spitler) Boltz. Mabel worked as a waitress at Esther’s Diner and retired from Midway Diner. She enjoyed going on trips, playing card games, bingo, and pinochle, and especially horse racing.
She is survived by her sons, Barry L. (Debra) Rudy, of Myerstown, Bryan S. (Brenda) Rudy, of Jonestown, and Kevin L. (Elizabeth) Rudy, of South Carolina; daughters, Joyce L., wife Robert Babb, of Jasper, GA, and Debra Ann, wife of Scott Lacey, of Roswell, NM; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving child of 16 children. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale L. Rudy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
