Mabel M. Forney, 91, of Lebanon, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Linden Village in Lebanon, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Clarence B. Forney Jr., with whom she celebrated 69 years of marriage on June 4.
Mabel was born in East Hanover Township on Sept. 9, 1932, to the late John W. and Lizzie M. (Moyer) Reigel.
She was a homemaker known for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, helping on the farm, sacred music, and playing the piano. Mabel loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Annville United Chrisitan Church and, in recent years, attended God’s Missionary Church in Lebanon.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Clarence, are her children, Brenda, wife of Richard Brubaker, of Lebanon, and Clyde Forney, of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Karen, wife of Brian Walker, and Carl Brubaker, husband of Christine; five great-grandchildren, Noah, Riley, Claire, Naomi, and Zachary; a sister-in-law, Margaret Reigel; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Paul Reigel.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, from 6-8 p.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in North Bellegrove Cemetery, Annville.
