Mae Buch, 92, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Celebration Villa of Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Howard W. Buch.

Born in Hamlin on April 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Paul Jr. and Verna (Krill) Swope. Mae attended Fredericksburg High School and graduated from the Kendell Beauty School in Harrisburg in 1956. For 56 years, Mae owned and operated her own beauty salon in Fredericksburg. She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC-Hamlin and served as a deacon on the Church Consistory. She enjoyed bowling, going to the beach, and listening to Elvis Presley. She was a die-hard Phillies fan. Her greatest pleasure was her family and her love for God.

She is survived by her son, Howard W., and his wife, Kathy Buch, of Palmyra; daughter, Beverly, wife of Stuart Magdule, of Boynton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Brian Buch, Amy (Taiten) Lehman, Michael Magdule, and Megan (Glenn) Gibbs; and great-grandchildren, Alexa, Astin, and Avery Lehman.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Swope Jr.; and sister, Mary Jane Walborn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at St. Paul’s UCC in Hamlin. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Hamlin Cemetery.
