Margaret A. Kok, 82, of Cornwall Manor, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Cornwall Manor.

Born in Grand Rapids, MI, on May 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Dorothy Botting Huizinga.

Margaret retired from the Dublin City School District in Dublin, OH, where she was an elementary teacher. She was a member of the former Olentangy Christian Reformed Church in Columbus, OH. For 25 years, she served as the President of the board at the Olentangy Church Christian Child Care Center. She was an avid reader and a member of multiple book clubs, and she loved to travel.

She is survived by her son, K. Steven, husband of Lesley Kok, of Jonestown; daughter, Rebecca A. Kok, and wife, Julie Watson, of Bexley, OH; grandchildren, Kenneth (Zanetta) Kok Jr., of Lebanon, Jonathan (Morgan) Kok, of Pittsburgh, Bethany Kok, of Bexley, OH, Katelyn (Matt) Chambers, of Naples, FL, Leah (Ben) Welton, of Canton, MI, and Eric (Tara) Hollis, of Nashville, TN; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Chloe, Annabel, Issac, Naomi, and Eloise.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Raleigh Huizinga; and sister, Ellen Sheley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St., SE, Grand Rapids, MI. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
