Margaret E. Maurer, 94, of Harrisburg and formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the Pinnacle Community Osteopathic Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert I. Maurer.
Born in Tower City on May 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Rachel E. Patrick Seitzinger. Margaret retired as a pharmacist. She had worked for her father’s pharmacy, Seitzinger’s Pharmacy, in Tower City. Following that, she had worked for Hershey, Stitzel’s in Myerstown, Lebanon, Redner’s, and Rite Aid Pharmacies. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Jonestown. She was a Cub Scout Pack Leader in Jonestown.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Rachel E. Peck, of Grantville and Jennifer A. Maurer wife of Paul F. Fraundorfer, of Harrisburg; sister Rachel J. Fuller, of Matthews, NC; grandchildren Matthew L. Peck, Samuel A. Maurer, and Joy I. and Grace I. Fraundorfer; and her daughter-in-law Deidre DeAngelis, of Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott A. Maurer and grandson, Jude I. Fraundorfer.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
