Margaret M. Yiengst, 89, of Middletown, DE, formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the ChristianaCare Hospice in Newark, DE. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Yiengst.

Born in Schaefferstown on June 16, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Christian R. and Magdalina E. Lutz Oberholtzer.

Margaret was a member of the Fairwinds Baptist Church in Bear, DE. For many years while living in PA, Margaret drove a school bus for ELCO School District.

She is survived by her sons, Allan, and his wife, Penny Hummer, of Jonestown, Brian, and his wife, Michelle, of Lebanon, and Douglas Robert, and his wife, Stacey, of Sellersville; daughter, Denise R., wife of Eric Barnett, of Middletown, DE; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Adam, Robert, and Harold Oberholtzer; and sisters, Hilda Christman, Doris Bates, and Goldie Wonder.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
