Marion P. Donnachie, 92, formerly of Cleona, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late John P. “Pat” Donnachie, Sr.
Born in Lebanon on June 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Crawford H. and Mabel E. (Simpson) Simmers. Marion graduated in 1946 from Lebanon High School and worked as a Nurse’s Aid at Cedar Haven for 21 years. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon. She was also an avid reader, and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and baking.
Surviving is sons, John P. “Pat” Donnachie, Jr., and wife, Kathleen, Stephen M. Donnachie, and wife, Diane, Douglas P. Donnachie, and wife, Sherie, Kevin R. Donnachie, and wife, Monica, Keith W. Donnachie, and wife, Amy, and Christopher T. Donnachie, and wife, Angela; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joan Miller.
She was preceded in death by brothers, William, John “Jack,” Richard, and Donald Simmers, and sisters, Helen Williamson, Jane Shott, Betty Gates, Pauline Speck, Thelma Bender, and Elizabeth Embich.
Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
