Marissa R. Heeter, 43, of Richland, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at her home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Dayton, OH, on March 3, 1983, she was the daughter of Gregg A. and De-De (Flory) Heeter. Marissa was a member of the Swatara Mennonite Church, Myerstown, and worked as a secretary for Martin Accounting.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Lauren, wife of Wendall Krahn, of Charleston, SC; niece and nephew, Ava and Levi Krahn; maternal grandmother, Barbara Flory, of Brookville, OH; aunt, Becky Ortiz, of Brookville, OH; uncle, Darrell Flory Jr., of Brookville, OH; cousins, Erica Flory and Harrison Ortiz, both of Brookville, OH, and Alex Ortiz, of Toledo, OH; and numerous members of extended family. She also leaves behind many close friends who felt like family to her, notably Karen (Jones) Zimmerman and her family and Blossom (Nolt) Hollinger.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
