Mark G. Landis, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. He resided at Pleasant View Communities in Manheim. He was the husband of Alma Mae (Martin) Landis, to whom he was married for 67 years.

Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Elam O. and Ruth F. (Garman) Landis.

Mark was a dairy and crop farmer for the early part of his career then worked in sales at Umberger’s Mill and later as a parts clerk for BHM Farm Equipment. He was a member of Gingrich’s Mennonite Church, where he was a deacon. He loved singing, music, and reading. Mark served on the Landis Homes Board and the Eastern Mennonite Missions Board.

In addition to his wife, Alma, he is survived by three sons, Timothy (Cheryl Hawks) Landis, Thomas (Greta Yoder) Landis, and Jeffrey (Alicia Rodriguez) Landis; one daughter, Deborah Bailey; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. John (Eileen) Landis and James (Alta) Landis; and two sisters, Ruth (John) Lutz and Rhoda (Frank) Cicero.

Mark was preceded in death by two sisters, Miriam Bauman and Elizabeth Nissley.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Gingrich’s Mennonite Church, 100 Forney Road, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held Saturday evening, Dec. 14, from 6-8 p.m., at the Church. There will be no viewing or visitation on Sunday at the Church prior to services.
