Mark Myers Landis Sr., 92, of Myerstown, PA, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center, Lebanon. He was the husband of E. Elaine (Hacker) Landis, who died on March 6, 2022.
Born in Lancaster County, PA, on Jan. 13, 1934, he was a son of the late Andrew Gerber Landis Sr. and Bertha (Ebersole) Landis. He was employed at Quaker Alloy Casting Co., Myerstown, for 39 years. Mark also worked for the Publix Shirt Co., Myerstown, for five years, and K&W Transport for eight years. He was a member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren, where he was previously a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and choir member.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Karen K. Hamilton, of Myerstown; son, Mark M. Landis Jr., husband of Tammy Landis, of Richland; grandson, Daniel M., husband of Ashly Landis, of Richland; granddaughters, Sara Schwalm, wife of Jason Schwalm, of Richland, Rachel McClure, wife of Commander Matthew McClure, of Womelsdorf, Becky Woodhouse, wife of Shawn Woodhouse, of Lebanon, Beth Wohlbruck, wife of Jason Wohlbruck, of Myerstown, and Brittany Schies, of Myerstown; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Makenna Wohlbruck; brothers, Daniel, Andrew, Stephen, and Samuel Landis; and sisters, Magdalena Miller, Elisabeth Witmer, and Martha Garner Hess.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Myerstown Church of the Brethren, Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stoever Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
