Marlin B. “Butch” Kreider Jr., 74, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Wasserman) Kreider, to whom he was married for 45 years.
Born in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Marlin B. Sr. and Catherine (Sudbury) Kreider. Butch, as he was known, was a graduate of Northern Lebanon High School, and his hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching horse races, watching car races, and spending many years camping with Nancy in Ontario, Canada. He worked for the postal service as a truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his nephew, Shawn Kreider; niece, Samantha Weigle; sister-in-law, Gail Weigle; brother-in-law, Steven Wasserman; goddaughters, Felicia and Brianne Esterly; and godson, Blake Esterly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin and Randy Kreider; and sister, Cathy Kreider.
Honoring Butch’s request, there will be no services.
