Marlin E. “Butch” Aungst, 70, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at his residence. He was the husband of Elaine M. Heberling Aungst, of Lebanon. They had celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary this past June
Born on April 18, 1951, he was the son of the late Marlin E. and Stella I. (Phillips) Aungst.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. Marlin then became a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed working in his yard and listening to music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Butch H. Aungst and Bryan K. Aungst, both of Pottsville; daughters, Stacy M. Kassab, of Jonestown, and Kelly M., wife of Eric Felty, of Myerstown; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Gary, husband of Sherry Aungst, of Pine Grove; and sister, Geraldine, wife of Kenneth Weidman, of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary T. Anspach.
Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
