Marlin H. Hernley, 79, of Myerstown, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was the husband of Janet E. (Long) Hernley. They would have celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in November.

Born in Lebanon on May 21, 1943, he was the son of the late Marlin E. Hernley and Emma (Dasher) Rothgaber.

Marlin was a graduate of Lebanon High School Class of 1961. He was a bookkeeper for H.R. Weaver Building Systems for many years until he retired. Marlin attended Lebanon God’s Missionary Church. He started playing the piano and organ at the age of seven and enjoyed playing at various church events throughout his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Glenn Muehler of Cornwall and many friends.

Memorial services will be on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. There will be a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Laurel Church of God Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon Rescue Mission, 1223 Bittner Blvd., Lebanon, PA 17046.
