Mary Arlene Harrold, 84, of Jonestown, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at Providence Place in Pine Grove. She was the wife of the late Walton E. Harrold.

Born in York on Jan. 22, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Arlene Ort Wales.

Mary had many passions, her love was demonstrated in baking, especially her sugar cakes, her love of flower gardening, her ceramics, and her love of decorating for Christmas. Mary enjoyed serving others through many bake sales and auctions for the Christ Community Free Church in New Ringgold, PA. Mary also served as President of the Pottsville Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Walton E. Jr., and his wife, Bonnie, of New Enterprise; her daughter, Sandra L. Krum, of Jonestown; her brother, Preston Wales, of CT; her sister, Dorothy Gougas, of NC; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Lewis, and Ronald Wales; and her sisters, Wanda Jacobs and Betty Leiphart.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family, and the inurnment will be held at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Spring Grove.
