Mary D. Spangler, 104, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at Masonic Village. She was the wife of the late Miles Earl Spangler.

Born in Cressona, PA, on March 13, 1921, Mary was a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Rupp) Hardenstine. She was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and playing word games on her iPad. She loved having visitors and Monday night roundtable discussions.

Mary is survived by her children, Linda L. Miller, wife of George, and Elizabeth R. Spangler, wife of Paul; grandchildren, Stacie Swaney, Sherrie Gerhart, George Miller Jr., Christopher Newman, and Kenneth Miller; great-grandchildren, Alisha Bawiec, Cole Miller, Calvin Seten, Miles Seten, Hattie Seten, Preston Seten, Sean Newman, Desiree Garcia, Kyle Miller, and Klint Miller; great-great grandchildren, Samuel, StanLee, Roman, Xavier, Greyson, Boston, and Sage; and brother, Ronald C. Hardenstine.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Harry, Howard, Harold, and Kenneth Hardenstine; and sisters, Evelyn Gassert, Amy Tatum, Jennie Wise, Beatrice Blouch, and Mildred Gahres.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042, followed by a service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
