Mary E. Kreider, 77, of Annville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the loving wife of John W. Kreider, to whom she was married for 54 years.
Born in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Lester W. Phillippy, Sr. and Anna C. (Kovack) Phillippy.
Mary was a 1963 graduate of ELCO High School and worked as a secretary for a steel foundry. Mary was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was involved with the CCW, having served as president and was a volunteer at many church functions. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, and crafts.
In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by two brothers, Lester W. Phillippy, Jr., and wife, Patricia, and Robert C. Phillippy, and wife, Arlene; one sister, Anna Mae Smith, and four nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by a nephew, Larry Smith, and a brother-in-law, Carl Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 11 AM from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 125 S. Spruce St. Annville, with Rev. Kevin Coyle as celebrant. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewings will be held Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 pm. Additional viewing will be on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of her funeral mass at the Church.
