Mary Ellen (McLoughlin) Werner, 60, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. She was born Sunday, Feb. 12, 1961, to the late James Dann and Margaret Patricia (Hladon) McLoughlin.

Mary Ellen was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and she continued her education at LCCC graduating with an associates degree.  She went on to work with passion at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Palmyra.  She spend her free time volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House and for activities at her church such as the Fish Fry and Festivals.

Mary Ellen also volunteered her time at Bingo night at the Campbelltown Fire Co. where she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Club.  She also enjoyed eating breakfast with the church breakfast club.  Most importantly, Mary Ellen was known as kind and caring, and more than anything, she was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. 

Mary Ellen is survived by her siblings, James M. McLoughlin and wife Susan, and Patricia Cole and husband Richard “Chet”, nieces and nephews, Maggie and Stephen Mcloughlin, Bridget Cole-Whitman and husband Andrew, Timothy “TJ” Cole and companion Mellanie, and Kevin Cole.  She is predeceased by her brother, Stephen McLoughlin. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.  A time of visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass.  A time of visitation will also take place on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown. All services will be held in compliance with the CDC regulations and guidelines.
