Mary F. Reb, 94, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry M. Reb, who passed away in Aug. 2016. They were married for 70 years at the time of Henry’s death.

Born in Lebanon, PA on Sept. 13, 1926, Mary was a daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Potteiger) Reilly. Mary was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a lifelong devout Catholic. She and Henry were long-time members of St. Cecilia’s Church, where they volunteered at the annual church festival, fasnacht sale, and the weekly free meals for many, many years. Mary, along with her sisters, was instrumental in organizing the annual Reilly Family Reunion that everyone looked forward to attending. Mary and Henry enjoyed traveling, especially to Henry’s Navy ship reunions in many different states. In 1975, Mary and her sister, Elaine, volunteered at Fort Indiantown Gap where Vietnamese refugees were being housed after fleeing S. Vietnam. Mary and Henry went on to sponsor three young men, bringing them into their home, helping them learn English, obtain jobs, learn to drive, and go to college. Mary’s greatest accomplishments were her children and helping to take care of her grandchildren when needed.

She is survived by her four children, Patrick Reb (Debra), Sharon Heilman (Christopher), Maryann DeAngelis (Thomas), and Joan Via (Scott). Mary had 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary is also survived by brothers, Patrick Reilly and Charles Reilly, and sisters, Sally Ann Thomas, Elaine Wentling, and Rosemarie Longenecker. She was preceded in death by siblings, Gladys Reddinger, Romaine, Bernard, and James Reilly.
