Mary G. Ulrich, 93, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Londonderry Village. She was the loving wife of the late Richard H. Ulrich who passed away in 2015.
Born in S. Annville Twp., PA she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Edith (Forney) Dutweiler.
Mary was a 1947 graduate of Annville High School and served as the postmaster for the Ono Post Office. She was a member of the Ono United Methodist Church where she was involved with the church nominating committee and the childcare program. Mary was also a member of the Ono Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and past president of the Lebanon and Dauphin Counties postmasters, state vice-president of the National League of postmasters and treasurer of the National League of postmaster’s retirees, NARFE member, and the Penn Conference, and was a member of the Londonderry Village Auxiliary.
Mary enjoyed attending postmaster conventions across the US and collected porcelain dolls, cookbooks, and eagles. She was known for her Amish vanilla pie, sugar cookies, and chicken corn rivel soup. Mary loved camping with her family, NASCAR, meeting Jeff Gordon, and puzzles.
She is survived by children Janice Dishong and husband David, Eugene Ulrich and wife Beverly, Glenn Ulrich and wife Janice, and daughter-in-law Barbara Ulrich; 10 grandchildren Tim, Ryan, Erin, Jesse, Dustin, Audrea, Adam, Julie, Becky, and Travis; 23 great-grandchildren and one sister Ruth Wenger.
Mary was preceded in death by a son Richard Lee Ulrich.
Memorial services will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2 PM from Ono United Methodist Church, 9 Main St., Ono, PA. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
