Mary J. Boltz, 95, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, in her residence.
She was the widow of Richard M Boltz, who passed away on Nov. 16, 2008.

Born in Rehrersburg, Jan. 1, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Cress M. and Nora (Stoudt) Valentine.

Mary was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church-Hamlin and a former member of Farm Women Group #5. She babysat for many years and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Sheila, wife of Bruce Sholly, of Jonestown, and Sharon, wife of David Walters, of Myerstown; two sons, Neil Boltz, husband of Barbara, of York, and Rick Boltz, husband of Annemarie, of Lebanon; a daughter-in-law, Kay Boltz, of Myerstown; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by her son, Melvin R. Boltz, as well as her brothers and sisters.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, Jan. 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. A second visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 3, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with services beginning at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s UCC-Hamlin, 129 Chestnut Hill Rd., Fredericksburg, PA 17026. Interment in Trinity UCC Cemetery-Rehrersburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s UCC-Hamlin at the above-stated address.
