Mary L. Hostetter, 92, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at Cedar Haven, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia.
Born in Elizabethtown, PA, on Oct. 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mervin and Mary (Reider) Fansler.
Prior to her dementia, Mary attended Lebanon Valley Bible Church. She also served as a volunteer for the Bellegrove Fire Company.
Surviving is three children, James C. Hostetter, husband of Cynthia, of Statesville, NC, Dennis L. Hostetter, husband of Debbie, of Lebanon, PA, and Karen L. “Weez” Moyer, wife of Michael, of Lebanon, PA; three sisters, Eldora Gleim, of Shippensburg, PA, Larue Miller, of Annville, PA, and Esther Snook, of Bainbridge, PA; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, of 46 years; one sister, Fern Folk; and four brothers, Mervin, John, Marvin, and William Fansler.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., at the Bellegrove United Methodist Church, 1530 PA-934, Annville, PA 17003. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Church. Interment will be held in North Bellegrove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, in her memory.
