Mary L. Shertzer, 76, of Manheim, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at her son’s residence. She was the wife of G. Earl “Tom” Shertzer, with whom she celebrated 18 years of marriage.

Mary was born in Jenkins, Kentucky, on Dec. 15, 1947, to the late Michael and Martha (Miller) Dandy.

She was a 1966 Red Lion High School graduate, a 1971 Almeda College graduate, a 2000 American Association of Christian Counseling graduate in Virginia, and obtained her associate’s degree in interior decorating from LaSalle University. She was an office manager for a doctor’s office. She was a teacher’s assistant at the John Archer School in Bel Air, Maryland. She was a member of Speedwell Heights BIC. Mary enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, painting, spending time with family, and caring for others.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Christopher D. Tweed (Rebekah), of Street, Maryland, and Sean K. Tweed (Ann), of Lititz; stepson, Kirk D. Shertzer (Barbara), of Annville; step-daughters, Sharon K. DiFava, of Campbelltown, and Stacey L. Fisher, of Campbelltown; grandchildren, Sarah Chechowitz (Zach), Katherine Tweed (Patrick Donnelly), Christopher Tweed Jr. (Bella), Elijah Tweed, and Emma Weiss (Jordan); great-grandchild, Tallulah; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Michael Dandy (Donna), Gladys Taylor (Charles), and Charlotte Kilgore (Larry).

She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Lori A. Morder; and siblings, Samuel Dandy, Gary Elswick, Flora Mae Orwig, and Nadine Amspacher.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. from Speedwell Heights BIC, 413 W. Brubaker Valley Road, Lititz, PA 17543. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
