Mary Phyllis Kohr, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, in the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth D. Kohr, who died in 2008. They were married on July 2, 1961. She was born in South Lebanon Twp. on Sept. 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Mary Ellen (Henny) Weaver Bryson.

She was employed for many years at Bogene’s Factory and retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center, working in the Dietary Department. She graduated from South Lebanon High School in 1958. Phyllis was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in West Lebanon, where she was assistant organist, sang in the choir, and served on several committees. She enjoyed music, sewing, and would bake dozens of cookies at Christmas time.

Phyllis is survived by a son, Scott D. Kohr, and wife, Lynn, of Westminster, MD, a daughter, Shawn R. Kinney, and husband, Steven C., of Lebanon, grandchildren, Heather Kinney, Patrick Kinney, Julia Kohr, and Caroline Kohr, and her beloved companion, Toby (her dog).

She was preceded in death by a brother, R. Lamar Weaver.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Please follow CDC guidelines. Funeral service will be held privately.
