Matthew D. Klein Sr., 57, a lifetime resident of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021, in the Bob Fryer & Family Inpatient Center in Mt. Joy after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Matt was born in Lebanon on January 5, 1964, to Joseph A. Klein, III and the late Sandra G. Klein. He was the widower of Sandra L. Klein, who passed away in 2005. Matt was a graduate of Lebanon High School Class of 1981 and went on to start his own business, Klein Construction. He was a skilled contractor who could build, fix, and design just about anything with his own two hands. Matt worked hard, but played even harder. He loved to travel, hunt, fish, boat, kayak, and spend time with friends and family. He had a huge heart and a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Matt was generous, supportive, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand in any way he could. He will forever be remembered as the greatest father, son, brother, and friend anyone could ask for.

Matt is survived by his son, Matthew D. Klein Jr. and wife Cristalichia; partner, Donna L. Steepe; father, Joseph A. Klein, III; siblings: Beth Ann Arnold; Scott J. Klein and wife Brenda; Thaddeus F. Klein and wife Carol; nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by wife, Sandra L. Klein and mother, Sandra G. Klein.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St, Lebanon. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County in memory of Matt.
