Mayelin Candelario, 38, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Bonao, Dominican Republic, on April 6, 1987, Mayelin was a daughter of Radhames Vargas and the late Aida Peña.
Mayelin was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone. She also brought so much joy and light to every room she walked into with a beautiful smile on her face.
In addition to her husband, Mayelin is survived by their four beautiful children, Sarah, who is 4 years old, Samuel, who is 3, Elias, who is 2, and Isais, who is 5 months old; and her daughter from a previous relationship, Esther Leon, who is 10 years old, and her brother, Christopher Abreu, who she considered a son since their mom passed away.
She is also survived by her amazing father, Radhames Vargas; sister, Marlenny Vargas; brothers, Melvin Vargas, Ismeal Vargas, and Christopher Abreu; stepmother, Leonor Diaz; stepsister, Yireiny Diaz; and stepbrothers, Elvis Diaz and Angel Diaz.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 12-4 p.m., and on Sunday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be at Kimmerling’s Cemetery.
