Melvin G. McKinney, 85, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehab. in Reading. He was the husband of Linda L. McKinney. On May 15th, they celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.

Born in Frystown on July 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Miles and Verna Buchmoyer McKinney.

Melvin had worked for Birdsboro Steel for 21 years. He also had worked for the Hamburg Foundry, Cartec, and he drove feed truck. He had been a member of Odd Fellows Lodge in Birdsboro, and he enjoyed climbing and pruning his trees.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Carl, Eugene, and Harold McKinney, and his nephew James McKinney.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
