Melvin N. Royer, 88, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Kathryn E. (Lebo) Royer.

Born in Stouchsburg, Pa. on March 7, 1933, he was a son of the late Frederick and Elsie (Eberly) Royer. Melvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for Teamsters, last working for Lentz Milling. Melvin was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan and also enjoyed cars.

In addition to his wife, Melvin is survived by three daughters, Debra A., wife of Leonard Mays of Mt. Aetna, Shawn L., wife of Harry S. Hollenbach, of Womelsdorf, Brenda J., wife of Charles E. Woolf, of Womelsdorf; three sons Rodney Royer, of Lebanon, Terry L. Royer, of Lebanon and Brian N.Royer, husband of Brenda of Palmyra, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Stephanie Mays-Harris (deceased), Leonard Mays, II, Justin Mays, Angela Hollenbach, Tara Flowers, Rachel Swisher, Justina Kabat, Shannon Royer, Darius Royer. There are also 16 great-grandchildren as well as two sisters, Anna Artz, of Myerstown and Mabel, of Reading.
